Middle School Graduation Poems and Prayers

--High School Teacher Supplies of Middle School Graduation Poems and Prayers-- Advertisement

her response Middle School Graduation Poems and Prayers

Perhaps one of the most curious aspects of organizing a middle school graduation ceremony is the choice of poems and prayers for the ceremony. I know for fact that children in junior high are not the best repositories for poetry. Prayers might be a dissimilar case if you have brought them in a religious environment. Any way poetry is only appreciated with the touch of age. It does not come honestly to all and sundry. Teenagers that are in Jr. High are not particularly concerned in poetry and you will be hard pressed to get any fans. If it were up to me I would seriously consider omitting the poetry part of the program.

Middle School Graduation Poems and Prayers

However if you settle that you are going to use poetry you need to use material that makes sense to the middle school graduate who will be the majority of attendants at the party. If there is some way that they can tell their own poetry, then it will be all the best for all concerned. In any case the pieces should be relatively light and standard for a contemporary audience that may not take too friendly to Shakespeare in his full glory. You might have to tone it down significantly before you get to the level that is suitable for the middle school graduation ceremony that you are trying to organize.

The next step is to consider who is going to tell the poetry at the middle school graduation ceremony. If I know teenagers well I will be approximately inescapable that they will not want to be reciting poetry in front of a bunch of people. That is why it is best to look at alternatives such as having the parents or visitors tell the poetry. If they have younger brothers and sisters, you may be fairly surprised to note that they will be less shy about these things and might volunteer to tell the poetry. If this is the case then you can thank your lucky stars.

For some families prayers are a must and there is no way that they can unblemished a middle school graduation ceremony without having to first thank their God for his beneficence. They will also be praying for the time to come of the graduate. Where the parents are very insistent on prayer, the chances will be that they will have brought up their children in a Christian faith that will just be part of preaching to the converted.

In fact if you have a very religious house you will find that the graduate will want to say the prayers themselves. The prayers will normally involve a standard prayer for the food that is about to be consumed. There can then be prayers of thanksgiving and hope which tell specifically to the graduate. If you are going to invite a priest, it is best that you get one who is familiar with the house and who shares a denomination with the graduate. Otherwise you might end up saying prayers that do not exactly scream encouragement to the visitors.

Teaching Children to Be Environmentally Responsible

#1. Teaching Children to Be Environmentally Responsible

Teaching Children to Be Environmentally Responsible

If you're an environmentally responsible individual, you probably want others to become more aware of how their actions sway the environment and learn how they can make changes that generate determined results. Children should also be taught to be environmentally responsible because they are the ones who will need to continue doing so in the future. If children start studying about the environment at an early age, they'll be good able to consolidate being environmentally responsible into their lives. Knowing how you can teach your children about protecting the environment can help you to teach them how to become good stewards of the environment on a daily basis.

Teaching Children to Be Environmentally Responsible

Environmental instruction

Many communal schools now want that students learn about the environment, recycling, and other issues affecting our communities and natural resources. Educators are fascinating students in educational programs and hands-on activities that help children to understand what the environment is, why we need to safe it, and what they can do to help at such a young age. As a part of environmental education, many students also get to share in environmental projects that help reinforce the concepts taught by teachers and other school professionals.

Setting a Good Example

Children often mimic what you say and do, so be environmentally responsible so that your children can watch and learn from you. Show your child what is right by not littering, recycling as many items as you can, properly disposing of potentially harmful substances, and using recycled products in your home. Even if you can't explain what you are doing due to their ages, your children will pick up on your actions and mimic them. It's foremost to set a good example so they'll mimic determined actions.

Getting involved Together

You can help your child learn about the environment by participating in environmental conservation, recycling, and other linked activities with him or her. This is a great way to spend time together while you show your child something of value that they can use in their daily lives for many years to come. You may take your child on a nature walk, have them sort your recyclable items, or work with your child on a poster or essay about the point of the environment. It is foremost that you explain what you're doing so that your child knows you're not just having a good time.

Observing Others

Your child can learn a lot just by observing other family members, teachers, and friends. If you generate a situation or environment where you can put some of what has been taught into practice, then you can generate a determined studying caress for your child. Let your son or daughter ask friends over for a recycling party. Volunteer to lead your child and a group of friends on an environmental educational trip. Combining classroom instruction with consideration and reinforced convention of what has been taught will help your child to understand his or her role in the environment and take steps to make a difference.

Do you know about - 10 Lessons We Can Learn From Honeybees

Teacher Supply Store! Again, for I know. Ready to share new things that are useful. You and your friends.

We can learn many things by observing the behaviour of honeybees. Here are ten examples of lessons we could usefully apply to our own lives.

What I said. It isn't outcome that the actual about Teacher Supply Store. You see this article for information about that need to know is Teacher Supply Store.

How is 10 Lessons We Can Learn From Honeybees

We had a good read. For the benefit of yourself. Be sure to read to the end. I want you to get good knowledge from Teacher Supply Store.

1) Honeybees live within their means. There are no banks, loans or reputation cards in the bees' world; only the resources they themselves collect and store. Like us, bees need to eat every day, and they do all things in their power to ensure a constant food furnish by storing it - not so much for themselves, but for bees yet to be born.

2) Honeybees accomplish remarkable things by working together. Fifty thousand workers can shift a lot of stuff. Co-operation is the key to their success: tens of thousands of individuals behaving as a particular organism.

3) Honeybees demonstrate that department of labour can be extremely efficient. And everyone knowing how to do the full range of needful jobs makes for flexibility and adaptability. Bees move through a series of jobs in the hive before finally emerging as food-gatherers. In an emergency, they can revert to their previous occupations to make up for losses.

4) Honeybees make honey while the sun shines. Bees are opportunists, taking benefit of ready food as soon as conditions are right. Even when their shop seem full, they will find odd corners to pack with food,

5) Honeybees behave as though individuals matter, while the tasteless good is all the time their first priority. Ego is not a feature of honeybees: their first duty is to the colony and bees will sacrifice themselves without hesitation if they comprehend a threat to the colony.

6) Honeybees understand that hard times happen, and they are all the time prepared for shortages as well as disasters.

7) Honeybees share: they know there is abundance for everyone, together with other species. Honeybees do not compete head-on with other species: there is overlap in their food sources, but they do not need to drive others from their territory.

8) Honeybees adapt to their surroundings. They know that this is the only efficient survival strategy. This extends even to their use of propolis, which varies agreeing to local conditions, and can safe them against localized pathogens.

9) Honeybees understand that honest transportation is at the heart of community. Bees are great communicators, using vibrations and pheromones to pass complicated messages around their colony. As far as we know, they are incapable of telling anything but the truth as they understand it.

10) Honeybees' survival depends on selecting high quality, un-tainted food from a collection of sources. Because we have assumed operate of much of the ready land for our own purposes, we are responsible for ensuring that they continue to have way to flowers untainted by toxic chemicals to which they have no defence.

For practically all of the last 80 million years or so, bees have had flowering plants to themselves. Only in the last 100 years has their natural diet been contaminated with substances they can never before have encountered: man-made chemicals designed to poison them and their kind, some of them cunningly incorporated into the very bodies of the plants they feed on. More and more of these toxins are being spread on crops and on the soil, and the bees have no opening of surviving their onslaught.

We must reform our farming methods. The alternative is a world controlled by corporations, intent on bringing the food chain wholly under their control.

The elimination of 'nuisance species' is already underway by those who stand to behalf from Gm crops. To those who stand to make billions of dollars from maize, wheat, rice and cotton, the honeybees are irrelevant. They plainly don't care if they disappear: they have no use for them, as all the crops that grow from the Gm seeds they sell are wind-pollinated.

Ironically, some of these very same corporations are already making profits from breeding and selling other bee species - such as mason bees and bumblebees - to those whose crops do wish pollination. Because these bees need to be bred in quantity and renewed every year, they have found a way to commercially benefit from the developing situation that must raise questions about their involvement in the demise of the honeybee.

Have they, in fact, deliberately poisoned the honeybee in order to exploit the resulting gap in the market?

Easy Data folder Ideas for Elementary School Teachers

Data folders are naturally two pocket folders that comprise a wealth of facts for parents to describe and retort as having seen. This not only reinforces parent transportation in the middle of home and school, but also leaves miniature surprise when it comes to narrative card day. Students are also more actively engaged in their own studying in the classroom when they have a vested interest and are encouraged to be in control of their progress during the school year. Data folders can have many components. Here is a small list of possible ideas:

1. Make sure you place materials in a two pocket portfolio with brads.

2. Introduction page that contains a table of contents for the parents

3. Parent signature sheet for proof that the parent has witnessed the results

4. Learner reflection sheet, which the child must fill out listing one positive item and one item that needs work from the old week

5. Graphs

6. Grade sheets

7. Reading logs

8. Graded Learner work

This list is in fact not an exhaustive list of ideas, but rather a starting point. By integrating a few of these items in the data folders, students will be aware of their weekly goals. The most foremost item I have found are the graphs. These graphs can be made from graphing paper and copied, or created on a computer template. Whether way, choose two or three that will remain consistent throughout the year and begin having the class graph their individual scores from each estimation in that subject area. In this way, students may visually and immediately take notice of score trending.

Just by taking roughly 15 minutes each week, development of your classroom data folders will be realized. Contribute the families of your students with a primary reserved supply that will help to direct their work efforts for the better.

Falling proper Of education In Nigeria: Who Is To Be Blame?

--High School Teacher Supplies of Falling proper Of education In Nigeria: Who Is To Be Blame?--

agree with Falling proper Of education In Nigeria: Who Is To Be Blame?

Introduction

Falling proper Of education In Nigeria: Who Is To Be Blame?

The idea " falling standard of Education" is a relative term because there is no well defined instruments to part it with utmost reliability and validity. That is why scholars' views on the idea varies. These scholars view it at different perspectives, depending on the angle each of them is seeing at it.

Babalola, A (2006) sees the idea from admission of Nigerian University products in developed countries universities. That the first six Nigerian Universities (University of Ibadan, Ile Ife, Lagos, Benin, Nsukka and Zaria) had their products contentious favourably with any other University in the world as their products were sought for by University of Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford and London for admission into their post-graduate courses. That these students record breaking performances and when they graduate are employed by the best multi-national companies and corporate bodies globally unlike today where no Nigerian University is among the top 6,000 Universities of the world (Adeniyi, Bello (2008) in Why no worry about rankings). He sees standard from how universities lead to knowledge and solving problems besetting mankind.

According to Gateway to the Nation (2010), University of Ibadan is ranked 6,340th University in the world. In Africa, University of Ibadan is ranked 57th, Oau 69th and South African Universities are prominent the way in Africa.
He also use written and spoken English as a yardstick for measuring standard of instruction which University of London conducted a research in West Africa and the consequent showed that teachers trained by colonial masters were good of than those trained by indigenous teachers.

He also used staffing, funding, foundation, origin and students as standard of education.

Standard of instruction to Dike, V. (2003) is how instruction lead to the social condition (or sociopolitical and economic improvement of a Nation).

Standard of instruction to whether passing or failing of external examinations like Waec, Neco, Nabteb, Jamb,(Now Utme) among others.

Teachers without Boarders (2006) looks at educational standard from how the products of schools can be measured in terms of outcome. That is how school leavers lead to the society in terms of cognitive affective and psychomotor. I will be using students to refer to both students and pupils, I will use head instructor to refer to both significant and headmaster.

Which ever way you may view standard of education, for you to halt whether the standard is falling or not, you must take into consideration all the aforementioned variables including achieving educational goals.

Equally, for justice to be done while measuring these standards one has to look at reliability where all the schools to be measured must have the same infrastructure, teaching materials, quality of teachers, level and degree of learners, condition within which learning takes place, some methods of assessment and some types of offering to the society among others.

Causes Of Falling Standards

Haven discussed what makes up standard in education, may I crave your indulgence to some of the established facts that constitute falling standard of instruction in Nigeria.

(1) Discipline: This is one of the excellent attributes of instruction when it is rightly observed.

a. Repeating: school no longer study repeating as every pupil is promoted to the next class whether they understand or not gives room for falling standard.
b. Attendance: The 75% of attendance universally standard as the bases for someone to sit for test is no longer observed.
c. Late coming: pupil that come late are no longer punished, which leads to their losing morning classes.
d. Misbehaviour: Students are no longer punished for misbehavior because of their parental influences (lost of jobs or unnecessary transfer).
e. Cultism: This could refer to rituals, normally under oath binding the members to a base course. They control covertly in fulfillment of their objectives to the detriment of other people. Thus, planning secondary needs above former needs.

These cults exist because of over population of students in schools, wrong admissions not based on merits, hence fear of test failures and selfish worldly gains.

(2) Quest for paper qualification: Nigerians respect paper qualification above operation in the fields. Hence, cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains are supposed to be measured on the field.

(3) Politicizing education: Merit is no longer regarded as it is now " who you know" and not "what you can deliver" Technocrats (educationists are not appointed Commissioner of instruction and instruction board).

(4) course problem: Sometimes the type of policies government make on instruction adversely affects output. For instance, in College of Education, we have National Commission for Colleges of instruction (Ncce), contentious with Jamb for admission as the two guidelines vary.

Equally, Waec, Neco, Nabteb, Jamb ( now Utme) compete with qualifying pre-requisites and regulation of entries into tertiary institutions.

(5) Teachers not being part of the test bodies. One wonders whether the continuous assessment submitted by these teachers are used or not.

(6) Accessibility of Schools: The Nigerian population boom has outnumbered the existing schools as the existing schools have to over admit.

This point can be roughly seen in the following areas:

(i) instructor / pupil ratio of 1:25 is no longer there as in my class, it is 1:3900.
(ii) Students / books / Journals ratio of 1:10 is no longer feasible.
(iii) Politics of admission: Schools can no longer set targets for admission to conform with their facilities as remarkable notes from above will force the school authorities to whether over admit or find themselves in the labour store again. Yet it is those that are giving these notes are suppose to build more schools or furnish needed infrastructure etc. To adapt those collecting these notes.

(7) Over-dependent on cognitive domain: Schools do not give regards to affective domain that will mould characters of our young ones. Little concentration is given to psychomotor while no concentration is given to affective domain.

(8) Shortage of remarkable teachers: Some schools in the rural areas only have the headmaster as government laborer while the rest that may be secondary school drop outs are Pta staff. What miracle can these staff perform? Dike, V. (2006) observed that only 23% out of the then 400,000 former schools in Nigeria have grade Ii even when Nce is now the minimum qualification for teachers at former and Junior Secondary schools.

(9) Teachers welfare: It is no longer news that

(a) Politicians do not have negotiation council to negotiate their wages increase.
(b) There is no disparity among political office holders from the federal, state and local governments.
(c) Their salaries are increased at titanic manner.
(d) Their salaries are increased any time without recourse to whether the nation's cheaper can bear it or not.
(e) But for teachers, they must negotiate the 10 to 20% of an attempt to increase their wages with consideration of the cheaper of the nation. How can these teachers lead and accomplish miracle when their family members are in the hospitals and the O.S. Syndrome is written on their cards by pharmacists while they do not have money to treat.

(10) Constant Strikes: This is an impediment to flat surface of syllabus. Oefule (2009) explained that one Nigerian guest asked a demand on charge at Oxford University society but the vice chancellor could not even remember about strike, only the registrar remembered it for 17 years back. This is what governance means to the people.

(11) Long rule of the military; instruction was not properly funded by the forces regimes as according to Babalola, A(2006) Obasanjos management inherited many left over problems of the forces such as non- payment of pensions and gratuities of retired University staff, poor remuneration of university staff, dilapidating buildings of schools, libraries with outdated books, obsolete laboratory equipments, bad campus roads, inadequate water and power furnish among others.

(12) In the secondary and former schools levels, schools do not even have buildings talk less` of furniture's, equipments and reading materials. This is the level where the foundation of instruction should be laid. Any faulty foundation will lead to faulty structures. What do you expect from the tertiary level?

(13) Lack of training of teachers: Teachers are not trained to update their knowledge with most recent discoveries based on research, then how can they give what they don't have?

(14) Poor state of Educational teaching facilities: Dike V. (2006) reported that research consequent shows that over 2015 former schools in Nigeria do not have construction but study under trees, talk less of teaching materials.

(15) Corruption: leaders of the schools and some Government officials whether connive to buy equipments with loan money that cannot be of any use to the school or take such loans and do not even do anyone with it.

(16) Poor budgetary allocation to education: A research work of 2001 shows that Nigeria only, allocate less than 20% to instruction it added reveals that Nigeria spends 0.76% to instruction as against Uganda 2.6%, Tanzania3.4%, Mozambique 4.1%, Angola 4.9%, Coted Ivore 5% Kenya 6.5% and South Africa 7.9% among others.

Who Is To Be Blamed?

We have seen the causes of falling standards and from these causes we can deduce that the following are to be blamed:

1. Government suppose to carry the lion share of the blame because all the other variables are dependent variables to it.

2. Teachers also have their shares of the blame with regards to their diligent duties.

3. Parents: feeding has to be in case, granted by parents. This is because parents do not leave schools to control without interference.

4. Students: students who do not abide by school rules and regulations nor pay concentration to their studies also lead to falling standards. Students also seek for paper qualification and disregards to operation they also participate in cult activities that derail the expand of the academy.

5. The society is not left out as it is the way it sees and respects the products of these schools that recycles back again.

Solution

Based on the problems or causes identified above, the following solutions are proffered: Schools should respect and restore back discipline to bring back the lost glory of our educational standards.

Performance should be regarded and respected more than just paper qualification. Equally, instruction should not be politicized for anyone reason.

Policy makers should be mindful of policies that affect instruction .eg Jamb(Utme) regulation in admissions.

Teachers should be complicated in test activities and test bodies should always issue test reports and distribute it to assorted schools for them to hold school workshop for training of subject teachers on their areas of weaknesses observed in the students' scripts with regards to following the marking scheme.

More schools should be built to increase accessibility by all. Cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain should be used for assessment of students.

Teachers' welfare should be given priority by government to avoid unnecessary strikes in our educational sector while more remarkable teachers should be employed to curb the present shortage of teachers in our schools.

Our civilian government should prove to the population that they are good than forces government.

Teachers should be trained so that they can meet up with any new challenges Educational facilities should be upgraded to modern standards while teaching facilities should be adequately provided.

Corruption should be eliminated to the barest minimum by all stakeholders while government should increase its budgetary allocations to instruction to enhance the standard of instruction in Nigeria.

Bringing Dinosaurs Into the School - An Aid to the Creative Curriculum

No.1 Article of Music Teacher Supplies

With the roll out of the Creative Curriculum within the United Kingdom, giving teachers and administrators the occasion to be more flexible in the delivery of core teaching programmes, new opportunities have emerged to motivate and enthuse young people, particularly when it comes to the science subjects. After all, one of the key aims of this new improvement is to help young people, in fact students of all ages from reception/foundation right up to key stage four, gain the capacity for original ideas and actions. In effect, to help students learn about science, the environment and other connected science subjects such as mathematics; through personal exploration and enquiry.

The Creative Curriculum and the Teaching of Science Subjects

Music Teacher Supplies

In our experience, as teachers the creative curriculum has allowed us to act as facilitators to learning, we have found that the greater flexibility in being able to teach core subjects and national curriculum ideas has been a very inescapable taste both for those teachers delivering the lessons and also for the pupils.

Bringing Dinosaurs Into the School - An Aid to the Creative Curriculum

Being more creative has led to the abandonment of many of the older lesson plans and schemes of work we had. Others have been modified and adapted to make them work within the context of having greater teaching freedoms. In particular, being able to introduce new term topics such as a study of dinosaurs has brought real benefits to the delivery of the teaching programmes.

Whilst we accept that modifying existing lesson plans, topics and schemes of work made more work at the starting of this new teaching style, the outcomes have more than made up for this with a more motivated and enthusiastic group of students, who do, unquestionably seem to be able to apply key skills and demonstrate learning.

Why pick Dinosaurs?

The selection of a study of dinosaurs and unquestionably other prehistoric animals as part of a themed topic for a term or part of a school term is a unquestionably good idea in our opinion. Firstly, most children go through a phase of being fascinated with these prehistoric creatures, this will ensure a willingness to share in the lessons and activities. Secondly, dinosaurs these days are rarely out of the media what with television shows, cartoons and films so most children are very aware of them and already have some knowledge. Perhaps, most importantly of all, the branch of dinosaurs or to be more spoton a study of the Order of reptiles known as the Dinosauria provides big scope for developing a range of engaging lesson plans across a range of branch areas.

Subject areas that can be covered comprise the sciences, mathematics and geography but also with some creative thinking, areas of teaching as diverse as music, physical study and dance. For example, utilising the branch of dinosaurs for a term topic gives teachers the occasion to witness themes such as changing environments and extinction. When delivering such a task of work we have incorporated many distinct branch areas all loosely based around the mass extinction event that occurred sixty-five million years ago that led to the death of the dinosaurs. Science areas can be covered by exploring the inherent reasons for the extinction event, the breaking down of food webs, the impact of volcanoes and changing climates. This can permit teachers to witness current themes and issues connected to branch areas such as global warming and the impact of human citizen increase on the planet. By being creative, the extinction motif can be applied in other branch areas such as composing a piece of music to reflect convert and the death of a whole group of prehistoric animals. This enables teachers to tap into other studying styles of the pupils. With music and movement in mind, we have helped create dance classes where pupils try to clarify the death of the dinosaurs through creative dance and other carrying out works.

Most children have some knowledge of dinosaurs, indeed, in our taste there is ordinarily at least one very knowledgeable person in the class, maybe a budding young palaeontologist that can be relied upon to help enthuse and acquaint on the branch area. When wanting to encourage independent studying we hung a washing line perfect with pegs across the classroom. We then asked the pupils (in this case key stage two students), to think of questions about dinosaurs and write them on a piece of paper with their name on them. We then examined the questions that had come out and grouped them (another useful exercise engaging word connection and spatial awareness). Once the interrogate areas were grouped, teams were superior and each team given the task of researching a interrogate and reporting on their findings to the rest of the class. This encouraged independent qoute solving and explore using a range of resources and then each team made a presentation to their class mates and wrote up their findings for display on the "resources wall" that we had created to help theme up the room for the dinosaur topic.

As teachers, we found the delivery of a topic connected with dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals a joy to teach and found our own curiosity and interest ignited. There were unquestionably many key benefits for putting dinosaurs into the classroom, a overview of the benefits we found are listed below:

1). Pupils were more complex in their studying and took greater responsibility for their learning. There was a real sense of possession when being taught this subject. For example, the sense of pride when designing their own prehistoric animal, working out where it lived, what it ate and what name it should have.

2). Students were more enthusiastic about the branch areas and there was greater motivation. For instance, exploring the view of averages with a key stage 3 class using some dinosaur footprints to make a trackway and measuring the mean length between steps.

3). As teachers, we too were more motivated and enthusiastic about the branch area of dinosaurs. It was a "fun" aspect of the curriculum and it was more rewarding and personally satisfying to see how the children responded to the more creative teaching methods employed.

4). Greater parental involvement. One advantage of teaching about dinosaurs that was not foreseen was the greater interest shown by parents and guardians. Adults too, also seem to have a fascination with dinosaurs, we encouraged the children talk about dinosaurs with their parents and guardians when at home and we saw a marked improvement in the attitude of many parents towards teaching when they began to see how creative we were in delivering teaching plans and programmes. One thing we would recommend is to have an "open afternoon" permitting the pupils to show off their work and studies engaging dinosaurs. We set up a "mini- museum" that showcased the work and the experiments the children had done. This was very well received by the parents and guardians that attended.

Bringing dinosaurs into schools is unquestionably recommended. It enables teachers and educationalists to tap into the enthusiasm of the pupils, it motivates studying and provides a rich environment for developing lessons and learning. We even learnt a few things ourselves - would undoubtedly recommend.

Early Years Reception and Foundation Stage Teaching Using Dinosaurs

Using Dinosaurs and Fossils to help Educate Nursery to Foundation Stage

Early Years Reception and Foundation Stage Teaching Using Dinosaurs

Within the United Kingdom, a series of strategic learning goals have been established for all school children from nursery stage straight through to reception/foundation and beyond to key stages one, two, three and four. These learning goals are incorporated within the National Curriculum and provide assistance and guidelines for teachers and teaching assistants to ensure educational standards are met over the country. Key learning goals are built around concepts such as developing knowledge and insight of the world, building transportation skills, language and listening skills. The use of dinosaurs, dinosaur information, prehistoric animal drawing materials and real fossils of prehistoric animals can make an exquisite gift to the teaching curriculum. In addition, such activities lend themselves to extension and topic work.

The Early learning Goals - The Link with Dinosaurs

The Early learning Goals are a underlying element of the Early Years Foundation Stage (Eyfs) statutory framework. These establish the expectations and standards of children ages 3-5 years of age in readiness for the move from nursery to the formal reception/foundation stage of primary education. Some children will exceed the standards that they are startling to attain, other children depending on their own singular learning needs and learning style will be working towards the standards. However, the key aim of these criteria is to establish a broad teaching framework the enables young learners to strengthen from nursery straight through to more formal education.

The use of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals can make a gift to the learning goals and permit teachers and teaching assistants to establish extension activities that permit young children to learn straight through imaginative and creative play.

For the early years and foundation stage, the key learning outcomes are divided into six specific sections:

Personal, group and Emotional Development question Solving, mental and Numeracy corporeal Development Creative Development Communication, Language and Literacy Knowledge and insight of the World

Teachers can utilise dinosaurs and prehistoric animals in a range of ways to ensure that these key learning outcomes are attained. For example, when inspecting the development of young children's knowledge and insight of the world, fossils can be used to introduce concepts such as looking out about living and extinct animals and observing similarities and differences in the middle of them. Most children have knowledge of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals from children's books, films and television. Dinosaurs have a high media profile and since a new species is named and described every four weeks or so, dinosaurs are oftentimes featured in newspapers and magazines.

When our grand teaching staff visit a nursery or reception we work to a formal episode plan and build our teaching programmes around the key learning objectives. The main benefit of such outreach is that it can kick off a range of extension topics and linked activities to help reinforce learning. It is important to sound the interest of all the class, this can be difficult due to the attentiveness span of children this age. As a result, teaching sessions are slight to around 45 minutes and aim to accommodate a range of learning styles.

Palaeontologists Visiting a Nursery/Reception Class

When a grand teacher/ palaeontologist visits a class it is important to engage all the children. Working around key themes linked to the learning objectives dissimilar materials can be used to help young children learn about the similarities and differences of objects, for example in the middle of cast fossils, models and real fossils. Children can cope and feel objects and establish that they are warm, cold, soft, hard, heavy, light and such like. This encourages them to use describing words and impart with others. Crucially, such sessions should be slight to around forty-five minutes to allow efficient engagement, but dinosaurs and fossils lend themselves to a range of extension activities such as model making, painting and drawing, drama, story telling, creative play and expression.

Each session would be normally broken down into ten slight teaching blocks, for instance, the first part of the teaching session would involve introductions, overview and explanations. Some of the materials used by palaeontologists such as knee-pads, hard hats can be passed round allowing the children to cope the objects. It is best if the children can form a circle so that the palaeontologist/teacher can stand in the middle of the ring and bring in objects so that all the children can feel that they are part of the lesson.

The second part of the session involves the first handling and passing around of fossils and models. It is best to have some dinosaur toys so that the children can make the link in the middle of the model and the fossil of the actual animal. The educator and teaching assistant can be brought in to help impart and cope objects and supervise object handling. Teeth and casts of meat-eating dinosaurs work effectively and there is normally one child per class that will prove to be very knowledgeable. The episode can be then be closed by summarising what objects the children have handled and what they have learned. It is helpful to ask the children what their favourite part of the session was. A quick word with the teaching assistant and staff to discuss extension ideas following the session is all the time welcome.

Dinosaurs and prehistoric animals do lend themselves to helping engage young learners and provide exquisite motivation to help children at the nursery and reception stage gain knowledge and insight of the world around them. Prehistoric animals and fossils can help with young children's transportation and learning skills as well as helping them to use creative and imaginative play to engage with others and establish a knowledge of animals alive and extinct.

We had a good read. For the benefit of yourself. Be sure to read to the end. I want you to get good knowledge from official statement Teacher Supply. This is the VOA Special English Health Report, from voaspecialenglish.com A condition called atrial fibrillation produces an abnormal heartbeat. People feel their heart race and they lose their breath. It may last a few seconds, but it can get worse and worse with age, leading to a heart attack or stroke. Doctors generally treat atrial fibrillation with drugs. But a new study shows that another treatment may have better results for patients who were not helped by drug therapy. The treatment is called catheter ablation. Doctors place a long, thin tube called a catheter into the heart. Then they use radio frequency energy to heat the tissue around the catheter. The heat burns off a small amount of heart muscle. The goal is to block abnormal electrical activity in the heart. Researchers studied more than one hundred fifty patients who had failed to respond to at least one drug in the past. In the study, about one hundred of them had catheter ablation. The others were treated with more drugs. There was a nine-month follow-up period to compare the effectiveness. David Wilber at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois was the lead author of the study. He says catheter ablation worked in sixty to seventy percent of the patients. By comparison, abnormal heartbeats returned in eighty to ninety percent of those treated with drugs. But Doctor Wilber says catheter ablation is not meant to be the first treatment choice for atrial fibrillation. He suggests it only when drug ...

Do you know about - How to Make a Survival Crossbow

Teacher Supply Store! Again, for I know. Ready to share new things that are useful. You and your friends.

A concentrate of years ago my son was learning the Medieval age in social Studies. His trainer assigned the class a scheme to invent something that represents that era and write a paper on it.

What I said. It is not outcome that the actual about Teacher Supply Store. You see this article for facts about anyone wish to know is Teacher Supply Store.

How is How to Make a Survival Crossbow

We had a good read. For the benefit of yourself. Be sure to read to the end. I want you to get good knowledge from Teacher Supply Store.

I helped him build a homemade crossbow that surely works! I was involved he might not be able to take it into the school, but he had specifically asked his trainer if it was Ok for him to build a crossbow for his scheme and she said yes.

The morning we took it to school, his mom accompanied him with the crossbow underwraps to the office. Once inside they asked to speak to the significant and explained to him the situation. My wife said his eyeballs practically popped out of his head when he saw this thing!

He agreed that as long as the crossbow didn't have any arrows (known as bolts in crossbow lingo) with it, my son could take it to class. His social Studies trainer awarded our efforts with a surely high mark and he got an A in social Studies that semester.

We ordered a package of crossbow bolts made for a crossbow pistol and took some target convention with the makeshift weapon at a colse to farm. It worked great and would make an perfect short-range survival weapon for taking small game.

I wish the crossbow was entirely my idea, but I have to give prestige to Ron Hood for that. Ron makes survival videos that are very detailed and shows in one of his videos how to build a crossbow similar to this.

One word of caution. This crossbow has No Safety. It would be very easy to fire the weapon inadvertently. Therefore I suggest if you settle to build one to not load it until you are ready to fire. Make sure no one is down range of you and that the weapon is pointed in a safe direction when you are loading it.

Here is a dinky more detailed information on how to invent the crossbow. We used a 2x4 for the stock. The only speculate for that was to make it look like a medieval crossbow. For a survival crossbow you could make the stock from pretty much any tree about 2 inches in diameter.

Make your bow first. We used rattan because we had some and it makes a great bow. Again, you can use just about any wood. Hickory has pretty good qualities for a bow. We used parachute chord for the bowstring.

You will want to part about half to length of your bow down the stock. This is where you should cut into the stock to make your trigger mechanism. part practically other 4 inches past the end of the trigger box and this will give you the widespread length of the stock.

Once you have cut in your trigger box you will need to drill a hole down straight through the stock at the front edge of the box. The top part of the hole should be round. However, on the lowest of the stock, you will want to elongate the hole. Once you put your trigger in place the elongated hole on the lowest will allow your trigger to rock send and the string to slide off and engage the arrow.

Next, cut a T shaped piece that fits down straight through the trigger hole and protrudes about an inch or so out the bottom. Cut a notch in the front of your stock to put the bow in. The notch should allow for a tight fit of the bow. I put a concentrate of screws in the front side of the stock and used parachute cord to lash the bow into place.

I lashed a piece of wood to the top of the stock to make an arrow keeper. This will hold your arrow in place and ensure that the bow string engages the arrow properly upon release. If you prefer, you can carve a groove down the top town of the stock for your arrow to ride in.

We stained our crossbow to give it an authentic look. Now you can either hand make your own arrows (bolts) or you can purchase some convention arrows that are made for crossbow pistols. Check with your local Army/Navy surplus stores.

I cannot stress enough how faithful you have to be with this piece of equipment. Again, there is no safety. Do not load until you are ready to fire and keep it pointed in a safe direction at all times!

I hope you have new knowledge about Teacher Supply Store. Where you possibly can offer used in your everyday life. After a false start studying economics at university, Bangladeshi singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya turned her focus to music and mastering the songs of Rabindranath Tagore. Tagore, awarded the 1913 Nobel Prize in Literature, was the first Asian Nobel laureate, and renounced a knighthood in protest against the 1919 Amritsar Massacre in India during which hundreds of unarmed people at a gathering were shot dead by British troops. "He was a reformer, he was a teacher, he was a philosopher, and most of all he was a humanitarian," Bannya told AlertNet during an interview in London on Sunday. "As he became mature, his thoughts and work became closer to the welfare and inner development of human beings." It was under Tagore's philosophical influence that Bannya started the Shurer Dhara music school in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in the 1990s and more recently a "Music for Development" programme designed to help slum children. Bangladesh is one of the most flood-prone countries in the world because of its geographic location and topography. Capital city Dhaka's population of 13.5 million keeps growing as migrants move to the city to escape flooding and rising sea levels. Housing shortages and high levels of unemployment make it difficult to find housing, jobs, food and medical supplies. "Music is a very strong instrument to motivate people,"Bannya said. "That is the reason I dreamed of doing something with the slum children." -- Julie Mollins, London, November 7, 2010.
